Trainee/Assistant Quantity Surveyor Derby, Derbyshire £20k - £24k (p.a)
Express Recruitment are proud to be supporting one of the UK's most prestigious construction companies, who are leading manufacturers in their field. Due to increased success, our client have an exciting opportunity for a Trainee/Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their talented team.

Duties and Responsibilities:
* Shadow senior Quantity Surveyor team and attend on site meetings
* Carry out site measurements, pricing and valuation duties
* Provide cost estimates for a range of local and UK wide projects
* Assist with contract negotiations and tender writing including bill of quantities
* Carry out training to understand the cost management and report writing process
* Liaise frequently with supply chain and estimating department
* Maintain up to date knowledge of companies range of specialist products
* Carry out all additional training necessary in order to complete graduate scheme
* Adhere to tight project deadlines
Qualifications and Experience Required:
* HNC/City & Guilds or above in Quantity Surveying strongly desirable
* Previous work related experience in the construction industry strongly preferred
* Excellent communication skills on all senior levels
* Confident negotiation skills
* Strong financial acumen
* Full, clean, UK driving license
