EMEA BI Solutions Architect/Senior BI Consultant ASSA ABLOY April 2012 - Current In this role, I was responsible for the planning, development and delivery of the EMEA BI solution, connected to the EMEA AX roll out. Preparing the solution for its 30 ,000 plus users, running a self-service BI solution. During this time, I worked on a major project for : NCO Europe Financial Services - November 2006 to April 2007 The project for NCO involved extensive changing in their reporting structure. This involved creating new databases, installation of Crystal Reports solutions and changing business procedures. During the time there, I created a new coding system for their invoice reports, manuals of procedure and documentation of the reporting system, along with training programs for the new systems. Technically, the project required the creation of several MSSQL 2003 tables which had to be cross referenced with and sometimes populated with data from a PROGRESS database. Skills Required Creation and management of cross referenced database tables, linked to client invoicing codes. These then built a complete invoice in reference to debtors payments. Each invoice was cross-referenced with debtors payments which were coded with a unique reference produced by an external VB program. Reports were created to be utilised by account managers using Crystal Enterprise with data produced with views built into Crystal reports XI.

This involved creation of a multi-variable workflow using the bespoke system of Videss. From data created by the system, a collection of spreadsheets and reports were used to provide data analysis of case status, workload of fee earner and business standing. This position required knowledge of the Progress database, extensive use of Word and Excel, report writing and multi-system administration. The role also included the creation of training materials, training courses and the actual training of staff in a fast changing environment that required keeping up with changing company and legal procedures. Skills Used Data extraction from Progress database using SQL tools in Excel and Access to provide daily, weekly and monthly reports of data input for all levels from board to user. Provided forecasting tools built into Excel spreadsheet using simple macros tools. Used SQL navigator tools to map out Progress database for future projects and, the development of migration tools to the companies bespoke MS-SQL customer management system. I also developed the in house training procedures for the systems being developed, writing not on the manuals but also the training material. Also utilised Crystal Reports X to allow practise managers to interrogate data from the case management system to allow them to see levels of clients cases, budgeting analysis and milestone definition.
