2005- Present Mental Health care assistant - This includes all aspects of care, Personal, financial, emotional and physical. My training and role as a care assistant is to assist the elderly, disabled, and mentally ill. I work 24 hour shifts in private homes to help patients with their daily tasks such as grooming, meal preparation, medication administration and any other task needed. My role is to provide a dignified, safe and stimulating service where service users are encouraged to exercise choice and to promote their independence. to ensure individuals rights and responsibilities are retained by treating them with dignity and respect. . to provide care services which are appropriate to the needs of the service users and that have been agreed with them. Bentley Care Home 2012 - 2013 Health Care Assistant - Assist residents who need help with dressing, undressing, bathing and toileting. Help residents with mobility problems and other physical disabilities, including incontinence help in use and care of aids and personal equipment. Care for residents temporarily sick and needing, for example, minor dressings. Help care for residents who are terminally ill.
