Production Line Manager Kodak, Leeds Jan 2011 - Aug 2014 Responsible for increasing productivity, quality performance and yield through the application of lean manufacturing processes and continuous improvement. Key Achievements : Devised, designed and led the implementation of an improvement program on the process-free plant achieving : 2.5% yield improvement and increased profit of £260K pa. Improved Overall Equipment Efficiency by 7.3% to 82.8% Improved Utilisation by 25% to 85.1% Reduction in defect rate from 5773 ppm in 2012 to 947 ppm in 2014. Contributed to a £3.5 million re-development project on the dual process plant that facilitated the production of a new, leading edge product both locally and internationally, being responsible for project planning/progress reporting health and safety compliance and risk assessments and resource management. Led the Apprenticeship Program within Kodak Leeds, managing the apprentices and ensuring their development program was aligned with both corporate strategy and National Apprenticeship Program standards Responsible for the introduction of lean and standard work, 5S, visual controls and quality gates within the production area. Implemented a 12 hour 50% reduction in product change cycle. Introduced a daily dashboard meeting to more effectively report on performance and planning. Transformed the performance of the ageing XD plant to its highest performing year Initiated, designed and implemented a reduction program for water consumption across three production plants producing a cost saving of circa £80 ,000pa.
