In my recent role as Learning and Development business partner for Cineworld Cinemas I had responsibility for design, development and delivery of all the audio-visual training needs for the company on a national basis. This gave me the skills and knowledge within the field of L & D to deliver training into other areas of the business as required. nnI was required to effectively analyse the training needs of the business; learn the particular equipment/technology and then design and manufacture the appropriate material and training for delegates. I designed and produced training material including skills workshops, learner’s packs/reference material and production of reference videos for e-learning. nnI delivered training to stake holders at all levels within the estate from team members to senior head office management through a variety of mediums such as classroom and individual face-to-face training. nI created and maintained learner records and developed a feedback system to check delegates were receiving and responding to the training accordingly.n nI was required to meet all company KPIs set in relation to the training and ensure compliance with all legislation in particular health and safety. nnMy role also included diversification into delivery of training in other areas of the business to enhance both the skills of the workforce and the customer experience. This included delivery of classroom training on health and safety, EVAC chair training and “Train the trainer”. I also had responsibility for training “Training champions” ensuring the company ethos and values (including passion for people, for innovation and attainment) were accepted by the delegates to ensure that the customer experience met with the standards required.n nThis role involved frequent travel, solid diary management and a flexible approach to ensure the training needs of the business were met as required.
