About Me
I have been working in the care industry for more then twenty years, with seventeen of them with Learning Disabilities.I currently hold NVQ level 1,2,3,4 in Helath and Social care and I have worked with the service user’s and patients age between 25 and 94 with learning disabilities ,people recovering from strokes, heart attacks, suffering from Parkinson’s disease, dementia, epilepsy, dual sensory loss, people with challenging behaviour, Cerebral Palsy, Schizophrenia, and other various health problems what made me very aware of the problems which they might come across during their lifetime. nIn my existing career history I have worked with number of people including not just care professionals but also medical and other professionals involved in care for disabled people therefore I feel confident to work as a senior care worker. nI have been involved in dealings with close family and relatives in relation to service users’ health and welfare on day to day basis. nLiaison with doctors, hospitals, district nurses,social care team professionals and helping service users to organise their day to day life and leisure time.nThanks to the job experience I am able to organise and prioritise the workload for myself and others and have very good work delegating skills. nI organised and taking service users on holidays, day trips,shopping trips. Following service user’s hobbies to their independent need. Taking in to consideration their care needs and mobility needs.
