My degree was in Information Technology and I am keen to put the theory covered in this into practice. This position is an ideal opportunity to develop my skills and learn whilst working in a professional environment. My degree required planning and prioritising of workloads to ensure deadlines were met, as well as emphasising the importance of excellent communication between colleagues and clients. My final year dissertation was about designing networks for a secondary school environment. I am very keen to learn new skills and enjoy trying to solve problems. My approach to this is to break them down into vital points and secondary points, and then work on implementing those goals to quickly have a working solution before expanding and improving on those points to improve the overall quality. I am determined and work hard to complete tasks to a consistently high standard. I am focused and can concentrate in challenging conditions. Project Management Risk Assessment Emerging technologies Extensive use of Microsoft Operating systems and programs including Word, Excel and Powerpoint My final year degree project examined what steps a school should take to ensure security when designing a computer network. It covered the decisions to be made when choosing a network, possible threats and prevention methods, analysis of risks and ways to mitigate these, and a formal security policy was recommended for a school. Secondary School IT Technician 2 weeks work experience September 2014 : During this time I learned much about how they designed their network, how they organised and managed their inventory of computers and devices. I was given multiple jobs through the internal complaints system to complete by deadlines, all of which had to be properly logged and evidenced.
